Do not go to this place. I’d give them zero stars if I could. My son was looking forward to having his first barbershop haircut especially since things have been closed for so long, so we went yesterday. The guy did a total rush job, and before I could say anything, he had whipped the smock off and started sweeping his hair away. The back and sides were uneven, but since he had a customer waiting and we felt rushed, I didn’t say anything at the time, which I wish I had.So this morning I call and get a different man on the phone (run by two brothers). I start describing to him what happened, and he got huffy right away and said “I can’t believe people who do this. What a way to start my morning with the customer complaining to me.” Before I could describe to him why we walked out without saying anything, he hung up on me.After that, we got in the car and drove down there, and the guy who hung up on me (Andrew) had four customers in his shop (walk ins only). He had no idea who I was. A few minutes later, the other man who cut my sons hair walks in, recognizes us, and said “oh you guys are back”. I asked him if he would be willing to clean up the sides and the back, and he did. The other guy who hung up on me kept looking over at us because he realized who I was, and was probably waiting for me to say something. Since I was with my son, I took the highroad and walked out of there not saying a word with my head high (believe me I wanted to say a few choice words), knowing karma will come back to him and I will never step foot in that shop again.I know people and businesses are struggling right now, so you’d think they would be gracious and respectful.

I have been bringing my boys here for years and some of these other reviews are misleading. This is a barber shop, meaning unless you have a standing appt with one of the guys, you just walk-in and wait your turn, there is plenty of space for social distancing, you don’t call to schedule your appt (their business hours are posted online and they usually open early) don’t expect your sons to get pampered here.Andy & Rob give quality haircuts & shaves for the best price , they are professional , welcoming and they have been in Novato for over 15 years! I recommend you give them a try!
