This place is super fun and has lots of character! There’s really a community that loves this bike shop, everyone rings their bells when they fly by on their bikes! Pete was super cool! Fixed my bike same day (even during covid). I thought I just needed new handle bar tape but he actually redid the whole thing and now it’s super fun and pink (he said it’s rad)! everyone always compliments me. He even diagnosed an issue that I didn’t know I had. Hills have always been soooo brutal for me, but Pete changed out my cassette for a new one (w/ more teeth), so it’s waaaay easier to go up hills now ☺️ He even introduced me to some chic bike fashion – cafe du cycliste. He also straightened out my handle bar (I fell somewhere back in the day and had been riding with a crooked left bar..) I think they may have lost my little rear bike light connecter thing, but the owner offered to buy me a new one. All in all, a very friendly family vibe that you can’t really get at your run of the mill bike shop!!

Tony is really great person from whom to buy a bike and keep it going.

April 1997: So, this review is a little belated, but look past that for a moment. Was cleaning out a closet at the house my parents lived in since 1982. Dad passed a few years ago and mom is downsizing. . . Excavating through the closet, I found a water bottle tucked in a far back corner from a trip to Sausalito back in. . . Yep. 1997. Instantly transported back in time. My wicked smaht wife and I were in SF for a chemistry conference and took the ferry over to Sausalito. Bikes. That’s what we needed. That’s what we found. At the time, great bikes that were well-maintained took us through the back neighborhoods and along the paths along the bay past sport complexes, wooded areas, and a happy horse or two along the way. We had a great time together. You’re not renting a bike. You’re renting a human-powered memory machine. Besides, nothing makes snacks at the nearby restaurant taste better than a little local-area, two-wheeled exploration.
