My new favorite coffee establishment. It’s so nice to get a break from the madness of Starbucks. It’s so chill here. The service here is awesome and they offer great tasting coffee. Right now I am having a peppermint, ginger tea. Cold day, tea… great combo.

Oakland has an amazing coffee scene and modern coffee is definitely one of the best. It is located across from federal hall and they have the best Cardomom Chai ever. Even though Starbucks was around the corner, is definitely come here again. Free wifi and power outlets available but seating is limited.

Great chai. 2 flavors that are each stellar. I get a 50/50 blend because i like both so much and can’t choose. Go early as pastries run out early. This means they are always fresh…. no day old muffins….. bring your own cup please.5 star rating if there were seating options for morning visits. Always packed with meetings and gabbing.
