So glad I didn’t waste money on his attempted scam.

There are a lot of bike shops in the neighborhood, but this one is really unique. It is more than just a bike shop, as it also has a lot of great things for camping, hiking, and general outdoor activities. The owner is very knowledgeable and generous with his time. Highly recommend!

I love 718. This was my first time seeing his new spot. It’s a treasure box of carefully curated goods for every cyclist. As a bike packer, it was especially nice to stop in before a weekend tour and get a new sleeping pad. There’s something to be said about seeing things and being tangible rather than buying items online form a big box conglomerate. Joe’s knowledge and candor is top notch.Pictured- a very happy me after sleeping peacefully on the Big Agnes sleeping pad 718 recommended.

I signed up for a 1:1 bike maintenance class with Joe and good thing I did! I’ve been riding my bike consistently for about 7 years now and got my first ever flat on my ride to the shop. I wound up having to throw my bike in the back of an Uber to make it there on time!Joe started by showing my how to change my flat (phew!) and reviewed basic things to look out for when replacing the tube and the tire, if necessary. My tire wound up having a big gash so I got the full experience with this first flat.We reviewed basic maintenance, including brake adjustments, how to regularly clean the chain and ideal tire pressure for riding around city streets. Joe was friendly, patient, reassuring and really encouraging – after this class, cycling seems so much more accessible now.I left the shop with some new accessories, including a spare tube. Good thing – I got my second ever flat on my ride home and changed it today without any issues!
